Individual Psychotherapy

I provide individual psychotherapy for adolescents and adults presenting with a variety of concerns including:

  • Pregnancy loss and infertility

  • Postpartum Therapy for Depression (PPD) and anxiety

  • Mood and anxiety disorders

  • Life transitions, including those of young adulthood

  • Relationship issues

  • Family of origin issues

  • General life stressors

  • School related anxiety

  • LGBTQIA+ issues

I utilize a combination of mindfulness based cognitive behavioral strategies, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, while utilizing a psychodynamic framework and understanding that every therapeutic experience evolves in its own unique way.

Perinatal Mental Health

Perinatal Mental Health refers to a woman’s mental health during pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. While this can be a time of joy, it is also often a time of intense emotions, high levels of stress and anxiety, and overwhelming feelings. It can also be a time of coping with grief and loss. Up to twenty percent of women experience perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMAD), including postpartum depression.  Great mothers can and do experience postpartum depression and anxiety and there is hope with treatment. You are not alone and I would love to accompany you on this path to a healthier and more enjoyable parenting experience.

My approach to caring for new parents is comprehensive. I include partners when needed; and consider that they can also experience depression and anxiety during this time. I will help connect both of you with support groups and additional resources when needed.

LGBTQ families may face their own set of challenges in their journey to becoming parents and in the postpartum period, and I am invested in supporting these individuals and couples as they navigate this experience.

Bringing Baby Home

Couples are better able to navigate the challenges associated with the transition to parenthood when they are prepared and have the tools in place to maintain a solid relationship and address issues as they arise. I am a certified “Bringing Baby Home” educator through the Gottman Institute, a renowned institute for research and treatment models for relational therapy. I enjoy supporting individuals and couples as they transition to parenthood by providing individual and couples counseling and workshops.
